Kamyala Howard, MSW, LICSW, is the founder and CEO of WE’RE DIVINE Consulting, leading equity‑centered organizational transformation, leadership development, and systems change grounded in her core belief that “equity is wellness”. With more than 22 years of experience, she partners with agencies, school districts, and community organizations to dismantle structural barriers and strengthen culturally responsive leadership across teams and systems.
Howard is the author of several curriculum families and multiple developmental frameworks—including Emotional Support, Health & Well‑Being; Trauma‑Informed Practice; Equity & Cultural Responsiveness; and her signature Parental Incarceration curriculum designed for justice‑impacted children, caregivers, and families. Guided by her principle that “voices are data”, her work equips leaders, community members, caregivers, and cross‑sector professionals with trauma‑responsive, culturally attuned tools that elevate family voice and reduce harm within systems of care.
A licensed mental health practitioner, Howard earned her graduate degree from the University of Minnesota with a focus on cultural studies, family systems, and clinical practice. Her mission is to strengthen leaders, honor the lived experiences of families navigating incarceration, and build equitable systems where children and caregivers can thrive.
