Elizabeth Wehby graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in May 2026. She earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Clemson University in December 2022. Elizabeth entered law school to pursue a career in youth justice and worked in public defense and juvenile justice during law school. She joined CIC’s team in September 2025 and has helped develop toolkits at the state and federal level on the legal and policy issues regarding the impact of parental incarceration on children. Elizabeth was a recipient of Vanderbilt’s George Barrett Social Justice Fellowship, which will allow her to continue working with CIC on researching and educating legal actors on the impact of parental incarceration on children and advocating for courts to consider these impacts.
